Sabina Genesio was introduced to the public on Tuesday as the Manager for the Pueblo County Commissioners. January 1993 was the last time there was a manager in Pueblo County.

Former U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado has announced his intentions to unseat U.S. Senator Cory Gardner in the 2020 Senate Race. Walsh said the cornerstone of his campaign is improving health care by improving the Affordable Health Care Act and implementing a public health care option. Walsh is one of nearly a dozen people vying for the opportunity to face Gardner in the general election in 2020.

An Xcel Energy electrician and his wife topped the field at the Dancing with the Pueblo Starz gala. In the 9th annual fundraiser for the Pueblo Downtown Association, Frank and Cheryl Garcia claimed the title. Ginger Andecucio, Assistant Superintendent at District 70 and Casey Mastreno, Director of Nursing for MGA Pediatric Homecare won the People’s Choice award.

According to statistics of the Pueblo Association of Realtors the average price of a home in Pueblo West in 2018 was $258,650. As of June 30, that price has gone up to $271,938. As of July 8, there were 99 real estate listings that were either active or under contract. The boom in Pueblo West in part is linked to the higher prices in Colorado Springs and Denver.

Pueblo County Commissioner meetings are now available on Facebook Live. Eventually the commissioners are hoping to have the meetings on cable TV.
