I just wanted to share with the entire community that I had the privilege of representing the Volunteers for Community at a recent meeting of the Pueblo County Commissioners. The Commissioners (Terry Hart, Gilbert Ortiz, and Chris Wiseman) passed a resolution to grant VFC $165,000 to continue work renovating the Peaks to Prairie Activity Center into a community center.

The Commissioners all had so much to say about the pleasure and satisfaction of working with VFC volunteers who give so much energy and determination and time to projects for the community good. I listened with pride while each Commissioner spoke about the VFC volunteers, and could not have been more complimentary and elated about the VFC people. Congratulations to you all on such well-deserved public praise, and thank you as always, for all you do!
