Break out your boots and hat or just come as you are, and celebrate the 6th Annual Western Days at the River of Life Church. The event runs from 12:30 to 4pm

You could win a $50.00 prize and braggin’ rights for your chili in the chili cook-off competition. Entry fee is just $5 and there are two different categories: cowboy chili and green chili. Entries must be paid by 10:30 Sunday, September 8. Call Gale Jirik at 719-489-3540 for complete rules and to get registered.

In conjunction with the chili cook-off, there will be a pot luck lunch, live music, and kid’s games, including the stick horse race. Music will be provided by two local bands, the Apache Creek Fiddlers and the Frost Mountain Five Band.

Grab your neighbors and friends and head on up to Rye to the River of Life Church at 8186 Hwy 165 for this fun filled outside event.
