In this issue of the View is some feedback from our readers. The monthly story, “What our Reader’s Say”, gives information about the things that are on our readers' minds as filled in on the subscription renewal form.

There was a little less feedback this month than some, but one point stuck out as if it had been recorded in bold face, italic. 20-point type.

“I miss John Freeburg’s stories.”

So, do I. Freeburg has been sharing his home-spun yarns periodically for years. And, yes there has seemed to be a drought of this favorite literary product of the Greenhorn Valley View."

So, I began a search. Where is John Freeburg? Those of you familiar with Freeburg know that he spends a lot of time at the Hardware store. I stopped in but they were also concerned that they had not seen him lately. Although, in Freeburg style, they did mention he had an outstanding bill and it was not stretching my imagination too far to believe he may not have been showing up at that local business due to the account with his signature on it.

I called his good friend, Walt. But Walt had his phone disconnected and, when I finally located him and spoke to him in person, he was full of his own home-spun yarns and good advice but offered no substantive explanation about his friend's low profile.
