On Thursday, 01-23-20, your Rye Lady “T-Bolts” travelled to Colorado Springs to have a rematch against the Swallows “Spartans”. Rye had previously beaten the “Spartans” back on December 6th, with a final score of 54-13. Unfortunately for Swallows, this contest’s result was more of the same.

Rye’s floor general Jolee Ortiz led the “Bolts” in scoring with 25 points. She also went 7 for 9 at the free throw line. On Defense, she contributed with six steals.

Sophie Adamson also had a strong game, coming in second by scoring 18 points, and hitting 54% from the floor. She dominated on defense with ten rebounds and five steals.

As a team, Rye shot 57% from the free throw line, and 39% from the floor overall. The “Bolts” came away with 30 rebounds and 20 steals, controlling the “Spartans” chances for put-backs and set plays. Rye easily wins the contest, 67 - 28, and is now 12 - 0.

On Saturday, 01-25-20, the Lady “Bolts” hosted the Las Animas “Trojans” for a conference matchup. Rye’s scoring came in like Chicago politics and voting, early and often. Team wise, the “T-Bolts” hit 46% from the hardwood, 50% from the three point line. Jolee Ortiz again led the scoring with 15 points, and going three for four from the line. Junior Aurora Ramos also went seven for ten from the line. Sydney Adamson contributed 14 points, and Sophie Adamson scored ten.
