February 10 at about 9:15 a.m., Deputy Trae Borror contacted a reporting party in regard to a possible fraud in Pueblo West. The RP indicated their brief case had been stolen in April 2018 and that since then there had been no attempts to use any information in the brief case.

Then on Saturday, February 8 the RP received an e-mail from the Pueblo West library indicating that a book they had requested was ready to pick up. The RP indicated they had requested no books and someone was using their library card that had been in the brief case. Deputy Borror called the library and told them of the situation. The library put a hold on the book to see if anyone came to try and pick it up. Video surveillance is available. The case continues to be ongoing.

Deputy Shane Mullen was dispatched to a criminal mischief call on February 8 at about 4 p.m. to a residence in the 81006 area. Upon arrival the reporting party indicated that at about 5:45 a.m. on the 7th the RP heard someone messing with the front door handle.

They dismissed it as a dream but heard it a second time moments later and looked out a window but did not see anyone. At 10:30 (on the 7th) they left the residence the door handle came apart. There were marks on the door when a relative repaired the handle but they could not tell if the marks were previous to the incident.
