The Beulah Heritage Preservation League (BHPL) has taken on a monumental task that is progressing surprising well. In the less than two years since an approximately 150 year old historical cabin was found enclosed in a larger house that surrounded it, they have raised funds, achieved grants, carefully deconstructed the cabin, saved and restored the logs of the cabin and are working on the reconstruction. Reeves and Betsy Brown, owners of the 3R ranch where the cabin was located gifted the cabin to the Beulah community. A new foundation was poured and temporary pillars were constructed to hold the roof, so that the cabin could be reconstructed during the winter months. As the cabin needed to be moved, Pueblo County School District 70 donated a triangle park in front of the Beulah School to rebuild the cabin on, and hopes to be able to offer student involvement in the project. District 70's student plans have had to be put on hold this year due to COVID-19.
