The board of directors of the Frontier Pathways Scenic Byway in Pueblo and Custer County has elected a slate of new officers for the ensuing year.

Bob Fulton of Westcliffe was elected chair. He replaces long-time chairman Bill Zwick of Pueblo who stepped down from the chairmanship but remains a member of the board.

Other officers elected by unanimous acclamation during a June 10 meeting in Pueblo are vice-president Jim Little of Wetmore; secretary Barbara “Bobbi” Highberger of Rye; and treasurer Mary Blickhahn of Pueblo. Other members of the board, in addition to those mentioned, are Deborah Espinosa, Laurel Campbell and Sayra Bassett, all of Pueblo.

The Frontier Pathways Scenic Byway was established as a designated scenic byway in 1998 and is an important element of the region’s tourism industry. It is one of 26 scenic byways in Colorado, and one of 11 byways in Colorado to have exclusive America Byway status due to the important scenic and historic resources located along its route.
