You asked your readers what kind of mask wearer you are?

There is another category which I belong to.

There are those who wear a mask whenever they are in public, whenever they may meet another person in some form of social interaction and adhering to public health experts who say wearing the face coverings help to keep the spread of Covid 19 down in our communities. This is in fact supported by research and data.

From day one wearing the mask was a simple way to respond to public health needs and a form of respect to our fellow citizens, a small and simple way to fight the spread of the virus. It had and has nothing to do with liberty, the constitution, the second amendment (again the glorification of guns)but concern and respect for our neighbor.

I do wonder about folks who do not simply wear the mask, I presume they would rather have a ventilator shoved down their throat, and also wish that on anyone who they meet.

I wear the mask so that if I meet you or Mr. Smith while I am out of my house that I can lend you some common sense respect and that I wish you good health.

Happy Juneteenth.
