Fourth year Head Coach Jamie Donlon, like all coaches, has a very different practice format for her Thunderbolt Volleyball team. Because the sport takes place indoors at the moment Donlon is limited to groups of 10 at a time, a task since she currently has 38 young women signed up to play volleyball.

They also have to stay six feet apart with masks. Equipment is continually sanitized and temperatures are taken before each practice. There is also a symptoms checklist for each player. Early practices restricted physical contact but the team is now able to get into the nuts and bolts of volleyball.

ďIím really curious how the fall sports are going to look after all of the decisions have been made,Ē shared Donlon.

The Thunderbolts are again 2A and members of the Santa Fe League. Familiar names top the charts when considering the toughest opponents: Hoehne, Swink, and Rocky Ford, to name a few.

Donlonís sign up list shows 19 returning sophomores, juniors, and seniors and she anticipates another 19 freshmen. Luann Lauritzen will serve as Assistant Coach for the 13th year.
