The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, which houses Pueblo’s largest public art collection and serves over 130,000 visitors annually, welcomes Chelsea Johnson as the new Director of Learning effective August 1, 2020. This position oversees Arts Center educational offerings and the Buell Children’s Museum.

Chelsea Johnson is from Palmer Lake, Colorado where she lives with her family. She has experience working for the Douglas County School District at an OutwardBound/Expeditionary School in Castle Rock, Colorado. Johnson holds a teacher's certificate, principal’s license, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Johnson has also served as a “Sources of Strength” trusted adult, a teacher mentor, and taught expeditionary classes on content like mindfulness, ukulele, comedy improv, playwriting/directing, and world drumming.
