The United States election system is the envy of the world. Since the founding of our country we have had 58 Presidential elections with number 59 coming up. All of the elections have led to peaceful though passionate, change of power. Five times in the Presidential election, the winning candidate did not win the popular vote. This is a credit to our forefathers who developed the Electoral College.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution has only three requirements for a president: (1) Must be at least 35 years old, (2) have lived in the United States at least 14 years, and (3) be a natural-born citizen.

During every election, but especially during Presidential elections, charges and counter-charges are flung about dealing with voter fraud and unfair influences. The call is sounded, the determination is made and then we settle back into another term with elected leaders.
