PUEBLO, Colo. With a continued effort to narrow the digital divide within Pueblo County, Pueblo City-County Library District distributed a total of 300 internet hotspots to Pueblo School District 60 and Pueblo County School District 70. Funding for the project was provided through grants from Kiwanis of Pueblo and the Sperry S. and Ella Graber Packard Fund for Colorado.

While a majority of students in both school districts now have access to digital devices, internet access remains an issue. According to the website BroadbandNow.com, Pueblo County is currently the 60th most connected city in Colorado while being the 10th most populated county in the state. Approximately 2,000 household in Pueblo County do not have access to wired internet and approximately 11,000 households do not have access to 25 Mbps wired broadband.
