Mystery un-billable water still plagues Colorado City Metro District. District Manager Jim Eccher reported in the September 8, 2020 board meeting that the Beckwith plant produced 21,093,501 gallons of water from July 27 to August 27, 2020. The city billed 10,232,985 gallons. The wastewater plant used two million gallons, but that still leaves 8,860,516 gallons of water unbilled and unaccounted for. Eccher shared that in this drought year, the lost water is more obvious and detrimental than ever before.
Eccher also reported that Cold Springs is almost dry and can only produce 20,000 gallons per day maximum.
