Craver Middle Schoolteacher Merideth Sparks was awarded one of the Rocky Mountain Region’s highest honors in science when she received the Earth Science Teacher of the Year Award. The award was earned for Sparks’ work with her science classes during the 2019-2020 school year, and was presented during a virtual award ceremony in the August meeting of The Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists(RMAG). The award was given in collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists Foundation which supports activities in the earth sciences by granting research scholarships, as well as providing funding to support teaching endeavors and giving awards to students and earth science teachers.
