Saturday, October 3, 2020, a group of seven Volunteers for Community (VFC) members and three Craver Middle School Leadership students combined efforts for a much-needed trash pickup. They worked along Greenhorn Creek, from Cibola Drive west to Apache City Road, basically the Greenhorn Meadows Park area. During the two-hour cleanup effort approximately a dozen bags of trash were collected and then deposited at Mountain Disposal's facility on Graneros Road. Mountain Disposal disposed of the trash for free.

Susan Ingraham of VFC said, "It was a beautiful day to perform this project and we truly enjoyed the beauty of the area along Greenhorn Creek. In addition, seeing the enthusiasm and witnessing the hard work done by the Craver students gives me great hope for the next generation!"
