The Rye High School Girls’ Cross-Country team placed fourth at the Regional Tournament held at Rocky Ford last weekend and qualified for the state tournament to be held at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs on October 17.
Clarissa Peterson led the Thunderbolt Ladies with a 13th place finish in a time of 23:02.20. Jolee Ortiz finished with a time of 23:22.70 which was good for 16th place in the field made up of 49 girls.
Rachael Lopez finished 25th in a time of 24:47.20 and Christina Kirkland completed the course in a time of 31:04.00 to finish 43rd.
