My favorite Halloween Story is 90% true and 10% conjecture. It starts in Denver where a young police officer is killed in 1971. Elvis was in Denver, loved cops a lot and bought a Denver Police Captain a new Cadillac. The officer that was killed had started to build a weight room for District 2 Officers. Elvis wrote a check so it could be finished. Singer Song Writer, Marc Cohn moves to Memphis from Cleveland to start a music career but is struggling. and Marc attends a black church led by the Rev. Al Green. Green had many great songs in the 70's. Marc is so inspired that he writes what happened at the church and being close to Graceland he includes Elvis in the song!! The Song is beyond a Mega hit (Walking in Memphis) and is covered by Cher!!

Back to Denver, Marc is playing and gets car jacked and is shot at point blank range. For some reason the bullet is deflected and Marc has only a small wound. I believe Elvis deflected the bullet so Marc could go on with that song. The song re-surfaced in an X files episode called "Post Modern Prometheus". which can be seen on U Tube for free. Great monster in this episode but what a great life lesson!! Treat No Trick...
