Recently my husband I sold our home in Colorado City. The problems of Good Doctors, Bad Water, poor management by the CCMD and no one willing to enforce the Covenants were our reasons. We purchased a lot and put on a new mobile home in 2004. Moved in 2005 and did several improvements all with the approval of the CCAC. In recent years the area has had people doing things without approval and not getting permits. Neighbors who put there entire back yard in so called medical plants (?) and again the dumping in the greenbelt. Telephone calls which no one took responsibility for cleaning up. Asking for the park to be put in so the children in the area had somewhere to play besides the street. Simple things, but it seems Applewood is no longer part of Colorado City as no one cares. Many days we woke up to sewer smells, we heard lots of reason why, but it seems to never be taken care of. There are many good things about Colorado City and we need to let people know those as well Ben at the fitness center needs to be commended for a great addition to the area. Cody at the Pharmacy is helpful in every way he can be. He has an excellent staff. The Rye Fire Department and the paramedics are to be commended for thier great work. The swimming pool and golf coarse could be utilized more, but that is another area that needs improvement. The good neighbors we had while there were greatly appreciated. We wish Colorado City the best of luck in getting things on the right track.
