It has been just over a year since the DiMatteo family received the heart-stopping news that Graham had cancer. Since that time the community has offered support and well wishes in a variety of ways.
Last spring, as the community became aware of Graham’s struggle social media was flooded with bright yellow backgrounds and gold cancer awareness ribbons with “Graham Strong” written across them. At that time Rachelle Bak, who is a co-worker of Maggie DiMatteo, organized a GoFundMe page that far exceeded its original goal. Bak commented, “We as a staff want to support Maggie and help cushion the trips to Denver, meals, hotel stays, and any other costs she may occur during this unsettling time.”
