A dedicated Colorado State Patrol officer turned in his badge Tuesday after nearly 24 years of service. Master Sgt. Luke Armstrong, 49, of Pueblo West, was lauded by his fellow patrol officers via Zoom, including, Chief Matthew Packard. Armstrong stood out front of the Pueblo Colorado State Patrol office to watch a drive-by parade during which he received honks, waves, and thanks from local residents to his neighbors to Pueblo County sheriff’s officers. “The patrol is going to miss you, Luke,” Packard said. “Most importantly, the people of Colorado will miss you and on behalf of the patrol — we thank you very much.
