Weekly Devotion: No Words

I have no words of wisdom, no poignant homilies, and no catchy anecdotes. I can’t make sense of the world today. What is wrong is being called right. There is a pandemic that not only destroys but divides us as a people. God’s people worldwide are under attack. I have no words, but God does. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8 “Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28 “My eyes are ever on the Lord for only He will release my feet from the snare.” “Be joyful always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I Thess. 5:16-18 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.” Psalm 55:22 “I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Phill 4:11-13 “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” I John 4:4 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Prov 3:5-6 “Pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith but the Lord is faithful and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” 2 Thess. 3:2-3 “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear, what can man do to me?” Hebrews 13: 5-6 May God Bless Us All.
