On February 10 at 2:11 pm Deputy Michael Martinez responded to a report of theft from the Hatchet Ranch area. The victim reported that having a storage tent on their otherwise vacant property where they store tools and equipment. The victim said they occasionally check on the property and when they got there this time, they found a Champion generator, a Poulan chainsaw, a Big Buddy heater, and a set of tools missing.

Deputy Trae Borror responded by telephone to a complaint of fraud. A South Pueblo West resident reported at 10:05 on February 12 that they had received a letter from the unemployment office in regards to their claim. The reporting party is retired and had not filed for unemployment.
