Our great nation is heading in the wrong direction and the march to socialism must be stopped in its tracks. To stop the socialists from transforming this country into one future generations will inherit that will be nothing like we have known it is important we participate in the political process. How do we do that? Some of us became involved in politics. Most of us are busy enough supporting our families and paying taxes and can only contribute by voting. Your vote counts so vote.
If you are a registered Democrat or Republican then you can vote in the primary elections. Voting in the primary elections is by mail in ballot. The ballots will be mailed no later than Friday, July 23rd. The ballots must be received by the County Clerk no later than 7:00 PM August 10th to be counted.
All the candidates of both major political parties have web sites. You are encouraged to visit them and use that information to help you decide for whom to vote.
Some of the Republican establishment institutional professional politicians have decided to travel the low road and attack their opponents personally to marginalize them. It is because they are afraid of losing the elections if they address only the issues as they somehow believe they have been anointed to be the torch bearers of the Republican Party. They are not. The grassroots movements throughout Colorado have rejected the professional politicians in favor of citizen candidates.
The Southern Colorado Tea Party Organization and the Greenhorn Valley Freedom Forum have endorsed grassroots Constitutional candidates who have the same values of the vast majority of moderate and conservative citizens. Some of these values are individual liberty, limited government, free market economics (jobs), strong national defense, states rights, lower taxes, private healthcare, legal immigration, right to bear arms, pro-life, local school control and family values.
Who are some of these candidates? Some of them are---
Ken Buck U.S. Senate
Bob McConnell U.S. House of Representatives
Dan Maes Governor
J.J. Ament Treasurer
Kevin Grantham District 2 State Senate
For those of you who are Republicans we encourage you to investigate these candidates by visiting their websites and ignore the negative ads aimed at them. We have attended events, checked out their credentials and asked questions of them and these candidates will represent us well. We have a great opportunity to show the political establishment it is not “politics as usual”. There is real change about to take place and you can be a part of it.
We are concerned citizens and receive no pay for being political activists. We owe allegiance to no person, group or political party. We just want to do our part to stop the elected officials of both major parties from stealing the future of our children and grandchildren.
