Easy Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
1 C. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
C. light corn syrup
1 C. raw peanuts
1 tsp. butter

Directions
Mix sugar, corn syrup, peanuts and salt in large covered microwave dish and stir well. Microwave on high for 8 minutes; stirring half way through. Add butter and vanilla, mix well and microwave on high for 2 more minutes. After cooking, remove and add baking soda. Stir well until light and foamy. Pour immediately onto wax paper and use a metal knife to spread the mixture about an inch thick. Be careful!! Very hot!! Let sit until completely cooled. Remove wax paper and break into pieces.
