And then there was one. One meet remains for Rye High School track athletes to qualify for state. That meet will take place in Buena Vista this weekend at the Tri-Peaks League Meet.

Head Coach Conner Pigg is well aware of how close some of his athletes are to making the state meet or missing it. “This weekend was a big one across the state. There were tons of movement in the top 18. Our current individual qualifiers are Kylie Baudino in the 300meter intermediate hurdles, Felicity Phillips in the Discus, and Ben Squier is hanging on at 18th in the 200meter open,” Pigg continued, “Additionally, we currently have our boys 4x400 meter relay team qualified. Our other relay teams are hanging on and are hoping to set personal records this weekend. The boys 4x800 meter is 16th and the girls 4x800 meter is 17th.
