The Rye High School Football Team drove 60 yards in the final moments of the game against St. Marys last Friday but could get no further than the 20-yard line and ended up on the losing end of the score 13-7 in their final game of the season.

After a scoreless first half St. Mary’s scored a touchdown which was answered by the Thunderbolts on a 48-yard touchdown run by quarterback Bryce Benz. Benz carried the ball eight times for 82 yards and the only Rye score.

Hayden Polk had a good ground game for the Thunderbolts as well, gaining 76 yards on a dozen carries. Rye had 286 all-purpose yards, with 252 of those yards being on the ground.
