Although according to Gallegos she works with both genders and is responsible for running events.

She is well qualified. She ran track and cross country in high school and as an adult has run in 5K, 10K ˝ marathons, and full marathons. Two summers ago, she and 11 other people joined forces and entered the 200-mile-long Ragnar Relay.

The relay travels from Copper Mountain to Snow Mountain and has nationwide participation. Each of the 12 people on the team run three legs, although the distance can vary in the legs. The 24-hour race is a challenge and Gallegos says it is a challenge she will always remember.
