The 7th ranked Rye High School Girls’ basketball team came within a basket of beating 3A powerhouse Centauri last Saturday in the Thunderdome. The locals led 32-27 but struggled in the 3rd quarter being outscored 16-7 and just fell shy coming back, losing 59-57.

Jolee Ortiz scored 22 points and the Adamson twins each added 11 points. Sophie Adamson also had seven rebounds, and four assists. Chloe Richardson had four rebounds.
