Frank William Timmons, 68, passed on to his heavenly home to be with our Lord God while surrounded in his home by his loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn (VanHoose) Timmons; children Zachary (Lauren) Timmons, Mindy (Matt) Malmberg, Clinton Walker, and Boe (Candace) Walker; five grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Walker, and Walker, Millie and Bowen Malmberg; sister, Marty Taghizadegan; nephew Michael Taghizadegan and niece Ember Garcia.

He was born in Tucson, Arizona to Frank Hubert Timmons and Leigh (Stockwell) Timmons. He grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and later moved to the Greenhorn Valley. Frank was a 1973 graduate of Centennial High School in Pueblo, Colorado after which he spent 10 years working at CF&I Steel Mill. He then found both a career and work family at Rye Telephone Company wearing many hats over the years from lineman, heavy equipment operator, supervisor and fiber optic mapping engineer, retiring after 30 years of service in 2012.

Frank loved the Greenhorn Valley and the outdoors, spending time with his son, Zach, hunting, fishing, camping and riding dirt bikes, developing a strong bond that will never be broken. He married the love of his life, Kathy, in 1998 and enjoyed 25 years together enjoying many adventures. They embarked on numerous motorcycle trips on their Harleys near and far over the years. They enjoyed camping and fishing with family and their two Labradors, Hondo and Morgan. They loved watching Nascar, even attending one from the VIP pit in Kansas City and in Richmond, VA. They shared many nights of car racing at “Beacon Hill Raceway” with their grandchildren. The adventures were endless with their grandchildren who lovingly called him, Papa.

Frank and Kathy attended Valley Community Church in Colorado City where they were nurtured in their love and commitment as followers of Jesus Christ our Savior. They shared a beautiful life together.

Anyone who knew him is sure to have a favorite memory or “Frank-ism” that makes them smile. He was a big man with and even bigger heart. He was a man of thoughtful and wise words who treated everyone with respect. He was a man of integrity and honor and earned the respect of many. He was loving and selfless and embraced the role of husband, father, stepfather, father-in-law, brother, Papa, neighbor and friend. Our Frank will be greatly missed each day and we are comforted by the promises in God’s Word that we will see him again whole and strong.

Celebration of Life, November 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley Community Church, 2543 Mercantile St. Colorado City, CO.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sarah’s Home and Daniel Academy for survivors of human trafficking in Frank’s memory, continuing his legacy of respect and honor.
