We love your paper and it would be a sad world without it. Thanks for finding a way to keep going.

There is an interesting little paper called the Pueblo Star Journal, https://pueblostarjournal. org/, also printed at the Chieftain.

Page 3 from the July 7 edition by the first fired guy fired from the Chieftain when it was sold.

He talks about the digital age killing the papers and diminishing the local news and influences.

The Star Journal is a very old name as it was the evening paper printed by the Chieftain.

Pretty much says the greed of groups like Gannet, hedge funds and such, buy it and sell the assets of the companies, are killing free speech by the local papers. Boy is that truth in one sentence.

I guess, as long as they say “Look, they can get the papers printed in Santa Fe or on the moon, it is not a free speech issue.'
