Born - April 5th, 1949 Died - March 30th, 2024 Linda Short passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of March 30th in the company of her two sons. She had battled cancer for the last two years. She was born in Denver, Colorado on April 5, 1949 to Robert and Virginia Switzer. She moved to Colorado City in the mid 1970's where she started a family with Jim Short and had two sons Patrick and Marcus. Many may know her from her bus driving days with District 70 and may have even drove you or your children to school or an event. She was a long-lived daughter of Greenhorn Valley that had a deep love for the mountains, her plants, and her pets. She ran her own property appraisal business for 18 successful years. She is proceeded in death by her father Robert Switzer. She is survived by her brother Barry Switzer, her mother Virginia Switzer and her two sons Patrick and Marcus Short.

92, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on Tuesday the 9th of January 2024. John was born on December 15, 1931, to parents Ellsworth Leroy Bassett and Lillian Bassett in Rocky Ford, Colorado. His dad was a carpenter for a bridge and highway contractor, and the family moved all over the west working on projects. During this period, he and his brothers attended many different schools. John was entrusted to drive the school bus his senior year at Rye High School, even though he was only seventeen years old. After graduating from Rye High School in 1950, he went on to study at Pueblo Community College, where he later became a member of the advisory committee with their Building Construction Education Program.

We regretfully announce the passing of who passed away surrounded by her loved ones on December 8th. She will be forever loved and forever remembered.

Frank William Timmons, 68, passed on to his heavenly home to be with our Lord God while surrounded in his home by his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn (VanHoose) Timmons; children Zachary (Lauren) Timmons, Mindy (Matt) Malmberg, Clinton Walker, and Boe (Candace) Walker; five grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Walker, and Walker, Millie and Bowen Malmberg; sister, Marty Taghizadegan; nephew Michael Taghizadegan and niece Ember Garcia.

Sandra Kline, 85, received her angel’s wings October 10, 2023. She passed peacefully at her home in Colorado City, Colorado with a big smile on her face while mumbling to those welcoming her HOME.
