Rye Hall of Fame Ceremony and Athletic Fundraiser

The First Annual Rye High School Hall of Fame Ceremony and Athletic Fundraiser is almost here.

The event will be held on May 13, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Rye High School.

Tickets can be purchased for twenty dollars each. Each ticket will include entrance to the event and a pulled pork BBQ dinner. Athletes will be out in the community selling tickets.

The money raised will be used for all Rye High School Athletics and to honor Rye High School Alumni and current athletes.

This year senior athletes, and Hall of Fame inductees: Jerry Kersey, Paul Defoyd, and Seth Baker, along with the winner of the P.J. Craver award.

The Rye High School athletic Department covers a wide variety of expenses for all sports teams such as paying game officials, purchasing uniforms, transportation costs to and from games, game balls and equipment, paying game workers, helping to pay for athletic summer camps for students and the professional development of coaches.

Fundraising this year is critical to Support Rye High School athletics in order to give all athletes the opportunity for success. The Colorado High School Activities Association has voted to increase the pay rate for game officials over the next three years in order to attract more officials. This increase over the next three years will ultimately result in about a 48% total increase in pay to officials by year three.
