We are excited to announce that VFC’s free pantries are moving to a new location! Our regular Stella’s Open Pantry will be at the Peaks to Prairie Community Center, 4705 Santa Fe Drive, on the fourth Saturday of this month, May 27, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The pantry will have its usual selection of juices, canned and frozen goods, meat, eggs, bread, soups, cereals, juices, and household needs.

The Care and Share -- VFC Mobile Market that everyone enjoys so much will move to the Community Center on Friday, June 9, from 11 to 12. The Market worked perfectly this month, with about 100 people arriving to pick out fresh produce, milk, and canned and packaged foods.

Both pantries will be at the new Community Center location on their usual times from now on. There is plenty of space in our large parking lot to park and come into the building.

The pantry is in its 15th year of service to our community this year, with Connie Resewehr heading up all the great volunteers who staff the pantry for you every month.

We invite you to come by if you live in the Valley and require some assistance with your food needs, or just come to see our beautiful newly renovated Community Center.

The Center is available now for private and public events.

Contact Judi Patrick at (719) 504-8018 or leave a message on the phone at the Center, 719-676-1011, if you’d like to tour the building or hold an event there.
