Letter to The Editor:

I am afraid, and don’t understand why others aren’t.

We have a president who is obviously incapable of coherent thought.

Someone or group of someone’s behind the curtain is pulling the puppet’s strings creating whatever agenda they want.

So why are whomever, having the power to use the 25th amendment, afraid to do so?

So, what if old “Word Salad” takes his place? The puppeteers will still be getting their way.

I have less fear of her waking out of a dream and pushing the red button. Or meeting with some foreign leader and making a real mess of the world. The world is not afraid of him. Nor would they be afraid of her. Hell no one understands what either one is saying.

This is beyond politics. It is about saving what is left of our great country.

Dead Men Walking…

Roughly 18 months to go until the next general election. Those boring campaign commercials have already started. But, the two recognizable names on people's minds are, unfortunately, the incumbent, Joe Biden, and, here he goes again, Donald Trump. Both of which I classify as walking dead men.

In the case of the President, he has a collection of reasons all of which would be detrimental to a successful campaign run. His physical and mental abilities seem to be failing: whether it's his robotic-like, stilted walking movements complemented by a few troublesome stumbles and falls along the way; or his off-Teleprompter lapses like recalling he was in Ireland less than a week before and some confusion about where he's conducting his proxy war – no Joe, it's Ukraine not Iraq. This really makes one wonder if he's up to the rigors of a campaign that can't be run from his basement this time. Joe Biden's document retention investigation and rumors that he and his family received millions in influence peddling payoffs from foreign entities - both of which might have an impact, but not as much as the other guy, read on...

As far as Donald Trump goes, he seems as energetic as ever. No, Donald Trump's problem is being Donald Trump – from day one he overtly upset the Washington establishment and it's been an ongoing war ever since. Well, they finally got him. With two court cases pending and possibly two more (January 6th and Georgia election interference) yet to come, it seems he's going to be a busy guy if he can stay out of jail. To be fair, some say that these cases are based on political bias and Trump is at the wrong end of the political spectrum, but you would think that a man with foreknowledge of such animosity could have treaded a little more lightly. Present polls show Trump with a commanding lead, but so much could be overcome by forthcoming events.

Enough said.
