2023 was a prosperous year for the Rye/Colorado City Saddle Club. One of the biggest physical changes to the rodeo grounds was that the old warm-up pen was torn down and replaced with a much better round pen. Thanks to San Isabel Electric, lights are installed at the new warm-up pen and on the arena path.

Some new changes were made to the by-laws, changing the elections to be held in November. Results for the recent election are Vice President: Ben Franciscotti , Treasurer: Kathy Lesser, Board Member: Courtney Nugent, and Website Manager: Nan Hassey.

The RCC Saddle Club wrapped up its year with an awards banquet on December 2, at the Days Inn in Colorado City. In addition to the good food and the awards presentation, there were door prizes, raffle items, and great friendly company.
